Hi everybody, I'm new in this site. There is a question I would like to ask.
I work in an engineering company and we're working on our new web site. We want a certain number of visits each month and for that we have built links in many directories, but we don see many good results.
With everything I have read I know some of the things I have to do on the site, but, What is a fast way to get "one way links" so our web site gets more visits?

Have a site worth linking to and get the word out about it.
Or you can do what everyone else does and create a network of 1000 blogs, scrape some content and sprinkle links to your site and all the other blogs in your network throughout the fake posts.
You can also write a bunch of POS articles and submit them to article directories with your keyword rich links embedded in them.
Oh, and one more thing, you can leave stupid comments on dofollow blogs with a keyword rich link.
I'd only recommend the first one of these, however.

I would suggest writing articles in your industry. Make them informative to show your knowledge in the industry and have a link to your site in it. The article alone could generate traffic to your site and if reused on other sites would generate more links for your site.

It seems like the key the key point is time.
You asked for "a fast way" and, well, I personally do not necessarily think that the fast way is always the best.

Thanks
One more thing...
You have any idea of how making Videos can help our site to get more visits?

Well, traffic would come from a video that had good content. When people looking for your services perceive that you are knowledgeable, they will go to your site for your services.
However, if the page the video is on allows you to have a link, this could be another way to get a link to your site. (This doesn't necessarily mean that it will help in search results though).
