Hello
I'm sure this has been asked before, but it's hard to find the right search terms to find the info.
But anyways, I have a little niche site that is ranked about 30th with little work in google.
But it's listed as example.com instead of www.example.com
And I have about 5 incoming links to www.example.com
the www.example.com version isn't listed in google anywhere.
I don't want to add it to my google webmaster account either.
Should I build links to the www.example.com or google will change it, or should I just keep going with example.com and keep moving it up the rankings?
Thanks.

Do you have a GMWT account, and have you set your preferred domain to be www ?
Also do you have a 301 redirect from non-www to the www sub domain?

It's also likely that Google already knows they're one and the same. I haven't noticed them having a problem with that in many years.
