I've been working in SEO for almost three months now, doing things like embedding links in articles, social bookmarking company pages etc. On Friday and today, I tried to give company links further visibility by posting them in comments on youtube. However, I kept getting an error message and eventually found out that Youtube doesn't allow links in comments to videos any more. I would like to try to do the same on other video websites. Which ones allow links in comments?

Sounds more like link spam to me.
Have you watched this video from Matt Cutts?
What are some examples of SEO misinformation?
Pay attention to the part about links.

Agree with Michael. Please don't go to websites and comment spam. It ruins otherwise perfectly good threads.

Just watched your videos Lynda - great information there. I would say that comment on videos is certainly spam, but you could take a different approach if you actually create a video and distribute it. There are plugins where you can make a video and push it out through multiple channels, gaining brand awareness and links, although it doesn't sound like you want to make any vids
