I have added a magazine to my website. But the sub-url makes my URL too long. So would it be good to buy a domain and 301 redirect it to my sub-url on my magazine? So people remember it easyer.

But if people link to the redirected URL. Will I still benefit from the links that will be placed on other websites to the redirected URL on my main website?

I hope you understand what I mean smile.gif

A 301 will pass on link juice and therefore give you the benefit you want.

However, a percentage is lost. No one knows how much, I've heard guestimates from 5% to 20%.
