Hi all,
I'm a web designer with experience in onsite SEO, but limited knowledge of offsite best practices.
I am looking to hire someone on a monthly basis to look after some small business website offsite SEO, including the website of my own company.
It won't be much of a challenge for those who know their stuff a bit more than I do - these are almost all local businesses, so the SEO would be focused around a small area of the UK, and most niches aren't very competitive.
I will take care of keyword research and onsite optimisation, and need somebody once a month to apply their (better) knowledge of offsite SEO - directory submission, backlinking, whatever you feel is best. You are of course welcome to use my keyword list, and there is no need to worry about onsite, but if anything is hindering your offsite work that could be changed/added to the websites in question, I am happy to make the required changes.
Needless to say because these are company websites, for real clients, not quick money-maker sites or affiliate sites, so it's very important that the SEO is done as ethically as possible - at least as far as our clients can see.
Examples of some of the niches are building services in Alton (very small part of Hampshire in UK, almost no competition), pet sitting services in Hampshire (again very very little competition) etc. Once I have found someone who likes working with me and does a good job, I can give my boss the go-ahead to offer bigger companies SEO services, using the same method; I do onsite, you do monthly offsite. The pay for these bigger uk-wide companies would obviously be quite a bit higher.
I'm totally fine for people to use software, or whatever makes their processes quicker, WITHOUT being "too" black hat, but I do NOT want any websites' links to show up on the same pages as any content showing or linking to p*rn, or spammy stuff like diet websites, unless of course the niches are related. I'd also like to know what's been done and where any links are.
This would be guaranteed once a month work, plus extra work if new clients come on board - which they do if not every month, every couple months. It also would not take the experienced person any great effort as the competition is 99% of the time very very low, and there's no need to generate any hits or leads or anything - simply a higher search ranking, that's all our clients want.
Because this is a 'testing the water' activity, this is coming out my own pocket, not the companies. I don't want to rip anyone off, undermine anyone's expertise or hire someone who'll do a poor job simply because they are cheap, but until I can show my company some results (hopefully within 2-3 months or so) my budget is a bit limited. After my company sees the result (by result I don't mean sales, conversions, or anything more - just higher rankings in search engines) I can add to your monthly payment.
If it works out better for you, you can give me a couple things to do, to take some workload off you - it'd be good to learn.
Please pm! Thanks very much - hoping to hear back soon
(PS: please move this thread if it's in the wrong section - I couldn't see a more appropriate one.)
