I have just taken on a new client with a site on a Unix Server. As part of their service, they have an extensive Product Data library in PDFs. The file names are more or les the document title say 4 or 5 words with spaces. Example:
Red Widget compressive Strength.pdf
Now I have tested these in lots of combinations of browsers etc and they all seem to work consistently.
So my question is:
Are there any issues likely to cause a problem by having spaces in a file name ??
Thanks in advance for any known problems or opinions.

I have not encountered any issues with spaces in filenames (as far as search engines are concerned) in a long, long time.

They suck as they're changed to percent20, but they do work and can get indexed. Difficult to link to sometimes as they look weird with the % and all.

Thanks both.
My concerns were mainly Functionality and issues of Browsers Loading with the various PDF 'Helpers' now in use. I would be very reluctant to go into this and change this lot if it works. If it's not broke, why fix it.
Search engine Indexing is of course important and has obvious benefits, but in this instance with an extensive library already in place, it would only be functionality issues that would persuade me to change things.
