Do you know if this link is beneficial considering it does link to my site but it isn't showing the url in the href? I don't know if this is only good for promotion or if it helps seo ranking?

CODE
<a href="/link.php?Community=14832">www.mysite.com</a>

I'm not sure from your example, but I'm assuming that it's a redirect link that you're asking about?

Does it have a 301 or a 302 redirect in the http header response?

If it's a 301 then it's good, if 302, not so much.

My guess is it's a 302. Those types of redirects usually are.

It's no problem at all for promotion because real people can still click the link and get to your pages (which is the important bit)!

You're right! I checked and it is a 302 redirect.

Thanks!

And yes, what Chrishirst said above. Forget about the SEO part.
