As part of a larger marketing strategy, I am in the process of purchasing the most common international domain extensions for my company, based on the top 25 countries who visit our website. In doing so, I found that one of our competitors has already purchased at least 1 domain [mycomp].com.au and has placed a link to their website on that page. Seems like a shady business practice to me, but I'm wondering if I have power to do anything more than request that they take it down.

Does anyone know of resources available to see if other domains that use my company name have been purchased?

Thanks--

I think you can dispute it at ICANN.
