Hi guys!

Are keywords case sensitive? It makes any diference to put capitalised words, or first letters, or for example brands that have 2 capitalized letters like: MyBrand etc.?

And latin accents? If my keywords have accents should I put them as well?

Thanks

My own testing and research has always shown a complete disregard for case in title tags and meta tags. There might be some effect in text links but perhaps someone else knows more about this.

Gnomme,

If you take a look at this thread:

http://www.highranki...showtopic=44962

you'll see that I did a little experiment on accented characters. I concluded that these characters had no significant effect on SEO.

It wasn't a very scientific experiment - I only tested it with the main Google site (Google.com), for example. But it encouraged me not to worry too much about how to deal with accented letters and other special characters - and I suspect the same applies to upper and lower case.

For example in my joomla CMS website, in my articles I have a field to put the article keywords there. As I use my portuguese language, wich have may accented characters, I am putting the words with the accented characters as well. I am afraid that the search bots are unable to read them well

If that puts them into a Meta keyword tag, then it's of no use.

You want your words in your content, title tags, and meta description sentences.
