Hi,
I am the owner of a site which is intended to be found for non Spanish speakers living in other countries (we offer Spanish classes for foreigner people).
I suspect that I should change the hosting location (currently in Colombia) to be more easily found in Europe / US / Australia / Canada. What do you think?
Thank you,
Marina

Hi Marina, I hope this link will help you in understanding more about Geolocation -

http://www.google.co...s-to-webmasters

I personally don't think that change in hosting location can have any major effect on rankings. If possible, You may want to create separate domains for different countries - .au , .ca

Thank you for your help!
I think that your suggestion is very good. I will create different doamins .co.uk, .us, etc.
Should I create a different content for each site?
I think that it is better not to use the verbum domain, but a domain which contains keywords. What do you think?

You should use your business name as your domain, not one with keywords, unless your business name happens to have keywords.

Hi Jill,

Can you explain me why should I use the business name? It has not keywords and it is not a well known name such as Coca Cola, for example. Potential clients surely write the keywords in the search engine. Because of that I thought of a domain with keywords.

Sorry for the ignorance!

Thank you, Jill. Now I understand what you advised me.
I still have 2 questions:

1. Should I connect in some way mydomain.com website with the new mydomain.de / mydomain.co.uk / etc. or should the domains be independient websites?

2. I assume that I should create an unique content for each one, right?

Thanks in advance,

Marina
