I am trying my best to have google crawl most if not all of the pages of my web site. We have about 800K pages in the site. Most are products. When a page is indexed it ranks pretty well. However getting it indexed is another story. With 800K pages it is rather difficult to come up with various ways of creating directories to get users to those product pages.
I have used the common methods to create pages that show about 200 links to the products. So for instance a page may have links that say something like "See all products starting with A" and that then links to a page with pagination and a menu bar like google results until they get through all the A's. This was in the hope of google just following all those links. Guess it worked to an extent, but curious if others have had similar situations, and maybe wanted to here some suggestions.
