I'm not sure if this question is a bit of over thinking but I want to make sure my client gets the best from all my onsite optimisation.
We'll take an example to show what I want to understand.
The client has TV's and then TV's for cars.
In the TV's categories all the Tv's are in here including TV's for cars.
But to rank for TV's for cars I would want to create another category and link all the TV for cars products from that category page too.
It would look like this.
All TV's Category
Car TV 1
Normal TV 1
Normal TV 2
Car TV 2
Car TV's Category
Car TV 1
Car TV 2
What I wonder is does this affect SEO for the category/product pages.
Note those products are just examples this is a different niche entirely.
Thanks.

It would be partially duplicate content so not such a big problem. Most websites are going to have the same or similar.
I wouldn't worry too much unless you have dup products appearing in many many different categories. Then it would be worth putting a unique product and description in the duplicate categories products with copy SEO'd for those categories. Downside is you then have more content to create.
