Our client is an internet start-up focused on building business solutions for residential property marketers. The company is based in New York City but uses remote staffing so that they can source the best talent and allow greater flexibility than that afforded by the daily commuting routine.

Residential real estate is a multi trillion dollar space industry that is the largest category of consumer spending, period. Over 85% of residential property searches begin online up from less than 20% a decade ago. While this shift in consumer behavior is dramatic the business industry is far behind in their use of online media.

If you have ever been frustrated in your online search for a rental property you can appreciate this problem. Our client’s goal is to transform the way the real estate industry markets properties using modern media channels by providing property marketing and communication tools/systems to agents, brokers, developers and property managers.

The company is founded by a successful entrepreneur. The prior company he founded and ran for 8 years was ranked as one of the hottest 50 companies in the country by Entrepreneur magazine creating over a billion dollars in revenue with great profitability. The initial product is 4 months into development and we are seeking an Interactive Marketing Specialist / Designer who will to work to take the product through its final design and testing stages, into launch and beyond as they scale their offerings.

Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Online Marketing / Design Specialist who wants to be part of building a product to penetrate a massive industry through design and online marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

In this significant role you will be responsible for working with the Product Manager and company Founder to develop and oversee all creative aspects of the brand, creating the voice and user experience of the product, maintaining guidelines for quality and consistency of messaging and value proposition, improving overall product experience.

• Work closely with the Product Manager to develop the UI/UX of web applications including landing pages, user flow, features, interfaces, CMS enhancements, and user demos.
• Review wireframe mockups creating high fidelity prototypes to communicate and refine product/feature concepts.
• Develop and write accurate and concise copy for all user communications including all website pages, FAQs and tutorials, news and update sections.

• Plan, coordinate and execute the cycle of engagement with new and existing members, delivering a consistent and compelling message via email and member login pages to educate and engage members, supporting the retention and up selling goals of our products and services.

• Develop and align all creative digital assets (design and editorial) for marketing campaign strategies that effectively target various user segments

Qualifications:

• 3+ years design experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CSS, and HTML.
• Experience working in a high output Agile environment.
• Experience developing web site and marketing content.
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammatical, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proactive, energetic, with ability to thrive in a self starter entrepreneurial environment that is looking to have a significant impact on the companies’ success.

• Experience working for a start-up or web based company.
