There is a question being constantly brought up by some of our clients regarding Google Audio. Back in 2008 they launched Gaudi. They used it on the political channel in YouTube to pull keyterms from the audio tracks of videos.
Now people seem to think that they must have their keyterms spoken in an audio to get ranked. I believe that Google pulled this project as it is not present in the labs and the pages referenced in Google's blog are 404.
I know the technology behind this would be monumental and I don't see it coming into widespread use by Google anytime soon. I want my clients to concentrate on tags and titles and descriptions, and make the audio natural and geared towards listeners not bots on a mission that doesn't even exist.
Do any of you have any insight on Gaudi? Does it exist? Is it being used by Google without our knowledge? Or is it an Urban SEO Myth?
