I was doing a phrase match with just one important word. Great, but got to many clicks. People would add words.
I liked the fact though it came up all sub- cities of LA and NY. Hundred of sub cities -- many cities I would never have thought of.
So I made the important word an exact match.
I elminated all extraneous words people were adding, but now Google wont let it come up in any subcities of LA or NY.
What can I do? thanks.

Perhaps continue to do phrase match, but use a negative keyword list?

That's a ton of work, but maybe that the answer?
Google does not allow exact matches without excluding also all sub cities?
