Hi i am thinking to submit my all rr pages to top 20 rss feed directories. I have around 150 rss feeds.

Is this considered normal? how google would treat this?

How about if I use auto RSS submitter? (It submits to around 120 rss directory)

Kind regards

I doubt you'll see ranking improvements if that's what you're expecting to happen. RSS feeds can assist in getting new content spidered and indexed more quickly because it supplies a path for spiders to follow to the new content, and because many sites (think News sites and such) use this method for real people to receive constant updates. The search engines know this small fact and make use of the RSS feeds for url discovery too.

So if your site has constantly updating content an RSS feed can help with the discovery process.

RSS isn't all that useful as a tool for more "normal" sites where the content is more static. Sure the RSS submission generates some links, but the links go to the RSS feed page, not to the actual content pages.

You may get some traffic from some of the better known directories. I would not expect a lot of benefit in SERPs, but maybe you'll get some long-tail boost.

Well my main issue is getting our products indexed by search engines mainly by google. We have an e-commerce website and half of our products are not indexed by google.

If I get some links that will be extra bonus for me.

What I am worried about if I submit 150 RSS feeds to top 20 RSS directories within a few days would it look like spamming as far as google concerned? Like getting so many links in short time or any other issues may arise.

Regards

It shouldn't be a problem.
