If you use Google.com in UK do you get the same results as the USA?
My boss asked me a question that I couldn't answer... If I were to search for Kx Software using Google.com from the UK would I get the same results as someone googling the same search term from the USA??
Can anyone help???

Nobody gets exactly the same results anymore, even if they're not logged in to Google. Your location, based on your IP address, is going to have some effect on the results.

The best way (IMHO) to quantify your results in Google these days is from averaged out statistics (i.e. how many visitors, to which pages, from which phrases, which positions do you tend to occupy for those phrases etc.) which will give a general impression of your current standing with G and over time if that standing is changing.
It's quite a fundamental shift in mindset from the old days of 'I rank in position X for phrase Y' but IMHO quite a nice way of working, it feels more organic and somehow easier to get a vibe for the bigger picture, even if it sacrifices a little of the ability for an SEO to fine tune things in some areas.

To answer your question directly, No you do not see the same results. Nor have you for some time now.
The Geo stuff is one of the first pieces of the Search Personalization puzzle to be implemented. It's now several iterations beyond those early stages at this point in time.
