I was wondering if anyone with some adwords experience could answer a question for me....

When looking at the conversion report in adwords will it ONLY include conversions that they have produced or will it show ALL conversions?

Thanks,

Chris Edwards

It will show all conversions, not just those that came from Google.

You can choose between organic keywords and paid keywords as well. But you can also see conversions from direct traffic, referring traffic and any other types of traffic.

Assuming your goals are set up correctly in your Google Analytics.

I am trying to figure out how I am getting a conversion, key words searched and path of the visitor through the site. Is there a analytics software for this?

Thanks,

Chris Edwards

You can't see exact paths someone took through the site with Google Analytics. You can set up conversion funnels however, that show some of the path that lead to the conversion.

Hrrmm, is there a good analytics package that will show me how someone converts and what path they are taking to get there? Is this important? Do I just not understand Google's Anayltics well enough to find out how I am getting the conversions/sales?

Thanks for your help!

It's certainly a useful metric to look it if you can, yes.

I think you'll see that if you set up funnels and also browse through the other conversion/goal data in your Google Analytics that you do get quite a bit of helpful info.

Using funnels is a great way to get a glimpse into behavior.
