Suggested Keywords In Google - Is That Useful?

Hi can someone advise - when we type into google search field often suggested keywords/long tails are suggested - does this data come on the popularity or is it a combination of that and the sites I have visited on previous occasions?

Are you talking about google suggest?

If yes then it is the volume of pages, but they tailor it to your history
