I have recently done an online course with Lynda.Com learning SEO and the Tutor Richard John Jenkins gives this site quite a few mentions (which is how I found it) he praises the site and Jill in particular.

That course is old and very out of date. The new one should be out at the end of March and should be good as I am the instructor! giggle.gif

I thought there was a few things mentioned there that didn't seem quite right after doing some reading of books and things on the net before hand.

I will be sure to check that out I'm gutted you have told me so early it means I have to wait haha.

Any word on the new course (or am I being a little impatient with a couple of days of March left)? I'd love to see it when it's out.

They told me end of March, that's all I know. I haven't had any word of that changing one way or the other. I'd say to keep checking their site.

I do have an affiliate link to get over there if anyone is interested:

Wanted to mention that a few of the sessions are available to watch for free if anyone wants to check them out before buying.

That said, I think lynda.com is super duper cheap anyway. Best deal you'll ever get to be taught SEO by me, besides reading here and the newsletter!

Lynda is cheap for what you get. If you sign up just for the SEO course you can also study anything else on site. I originally signed up to do Photoshop & Dreamweaver but since then I have done loads more CS4 stuff to do with design even as far as the Microsoft 2007 products like word etc.

Jill,

Do you know if Lynda.com have any plans to produce a course covering Google AdWords, or PPC/ SEM in general (Bing, Yahoo, Facebook etc)? I'm surprised that they haven't come out with anything like that yet (or VTC, either), despite it being a pretty big topic! It's definitely something I'd like to have a visual tutorial for.
