Hi, everyone. First time web designer here that really needs your help.
My site is not doing too bad, GPR is 2, but I went to submitexpress.com to analyze my site, and although most of it is good,
it's telling me I have too many URL's on my page and it's too big.
This is a Wordpress site (on my own server), and all I have in the home page are links to my articles and affiliates etc., but mostly to my articles.
The pictures on it are also part of the WP theme... is that a problem with WP or is there something I can do to change this.
I'm really struggling with this so I'd really appreciate any advice or guidance you can give me.

The solution is to stop viewing your site through silly tools!
Seriously.
How's your website traffic?
Use your analytics to determine what's wrong and right with your site, not some silly tool which is based on averages.

I agree, forget the tools! Sounds like a logical reason to have links on your pages, so leave them.

OK, now that you're done with the silly tools... would you say it takes a long time for your pages to load, and just how many links do you actually have? It's probably not an issue directly related to SEO, but if your pages are seriously bloated and overloaded, they're not of much use to people, and that's definitely something to keep in mind.

yes, I was just thinking similar like qwerty. I think that good questions for you is: "If someone come on my home-page for the very first time, looking for something that my site is offering, would that person be pleased? What is her/his first impression? Is the page simple and easy to navigate, or complicated? Are the main things on page easy to focus? Are the page's colors nice?"
