Why Success In Yahoo/msn, But Nothing In Google?
Posted 18 February 2010 - 07:15 AM
I have recently redesigned my site, including optimising for a new keyword phrase. It's gone straight to 1st page on both Yahoo and MSN, but.... is nowhere to be found on Google for the same keyword phrase. Have checked the site against Google's guidelines, tweaked a couple of relatively minor issues that may or may not have caused problems, submitted to Google for reappraisal, which they have done, but we still don't exist in their results for the keyword phrase (we do fine in Google on other keywords and are indexed for 51 out of 52 pages). I don't understand how we can do brilliantly in Yahoo / MSN and not exist in Google? Any advice?

It just does not seem to occur to 'people' that Yahoo and google..even MSN (by the way..now known as BING), are 3 DIFFERENT SE's.
Thus DIFFERENT algorythms, Thus different criteria is required and structured and...THUS means different rankings!!
What works in G flops in Yahoo.
What NEVER works in bing, rocks in G but flops in yahoo....aww stuff it don't need to say anymore!!
You get the picture....and so it goes on and on!

But don't go looking at other pages and hoping to find out why? 'cos you never will.
It's simply that those pages have got more factors right, than yours have.

That doesn't scream quality content but "carefully crafted" ...and poof, you disappeared.
