I would like to find someone who has the time, interest, and ability to restore my small website to its former position and popularity with both search engines and customers. The site is functioning, it sells a "How-to" DVD set. Some years ago, I kept up on things, AND there was a lot less competition for its keywords, and the site did pretty well, selling about one set per day. It's a limited niche market, so it's unlikely that it would ever sell dozens per day, and its (probable) limited potential keeps me from affording hiring someone or some firm for cash up front. I would like to find someone who would like to become a partner.

You would supply the time, knowledge, and judgment to re-write and/or reorganize the site to primarily increase its search engine popularity, but you might also decide to alter any other aspects of the site that you feel would increase customer conversion. Perhaps you would wish to try some sort of A/B comparison programs, for example. I would provide the product (DVD's) itself and the fulfillment, as well as any articles, pages, newsletters, or other content that you might request to aid in improving results.

The income would obviously be variable. If sales returned to about one/day, say 25/month, and we decided to sell them for around $40 each (they have been selling for $50) and split the income, it would represent about $500 per month. That's my best guess for the average income potential, so that it's probably the number you should use to consider whether it would be worth your time and efforts or not. We would have to agree to some details, and I truthfully would rather not do a 50/50 split, at least on some of the sales, maybe some sort of sliding scale, since I would be providing the costs of the site, hosting, the DVD's, and the handling and mailing expenses.

The reason that I would like to find someone to partner with instead of doing it myself as I used to is because I've moved into some other activities that require my attention, and I just don't have the time to keep up with SEO developments and implement them. Yet the website, and especially the DVD's are way too good to give up. I have always put an unlimited 100% money back guarantee of satisfaction (including that I will pay return postage) on the videos. They have received, and continue to get great reviews and I have only had refund requests twice out of thousands sold.

Since there would be a pretty high degree of trust involved on both sides, I thought Jill's forum would be a good place to post this. I've subscribed to her Newsletter for about 10 years and would want to work with someone who agreed with her principals. To me, this seems like it would be a pretty great offer for someone who could use the extra money potential and could work on it amongst their other projects and responsibilities. Please PM me if you would care to discuss it. Thanks, David
