Hello, what would be best in terms of an SEO perspective?

For example.

store.domain.com or domain.com/store

Thanks.

Neither is best from an SEO perspective.

They are essentially equal.

Dont you think that Google will treat store.domain.com as a separate website?

Nope I don't.

In fact they have publicly stated as of a year or so ago that they would not treat subdomains as a separate site, nor give the illusion they might treat it as a separate site anymore.

Long story short, the url doesn't matter in cases like this. What does matter is how pages link to each other. But presuming the internal link scheme is the same, the two will be essentially equal.

Oops, it's been more than a year ago. More like 2 plus years ago. lol.gif How time flies when you're having fun!

Here is a Search Engine Land write up on the subject, by none other than ex-Googler Vanessa Fox. She provides links in there to the statements from Matt Cutts of Google if you want the real dirt straight from the horses mouth.
