I have a client that the search network underperforms Google enough that I'd like to separate the two networks to set lower search network bids. I haven't had the need to do this before, and I vaguely recall reading from my past of other people doing this. I know that you have to be opted into google if you want to be in the search network, but I'm guessing if I have two identical campaigns, one in just google and another in google and the search network, it will accomplish what I'm trying to do. Anyone have experience with this?

If I am reading you right, you can set two bids on your campaign screen. One for search and one for the network. I have also seen horrible results from the network in the past, and I suspect there was a ton of fraud going on. So I turned the network off. Sure I lose some traffic, but I eliminated the fraud.

Your mileage may vary.
