Hello
I am about to relaunch a site for a client and I need to set up a load of 301 page redirects because the new site will have a different URL structure. I need to create a list of all the pages on the current site that have links to them and then a corresponding list of the new URLs where the same content will be found on the new site.
Looking at Yahoo Site Explorer it says that I have 1363 inlinks from other sites to the entire domain. I'm sure that most of them will just be to the home page and the URL for that isn't changing so I don't need to worry about those. But there are still quite a few links to deeper pages and I need to make sure that they are redirected to the new equivalents.
Is there a tool that I can use to show all inlinks to pages other than the home page? I don't really need to know the referring URL, just where the links are pointing.
Many thanks
Howard

Why would you just redirect pages that have links from other sites pointing to them? That doesn't help any users who may have bookmarked a page on your site, or if a page without a link pointing to it ends up still in the search engines' index for one reason or another, which is likely to happen. Even if they pages really disappear and start delivering a 404 Not Found response.
Instead you'll want to set up some sort of redirect for every page where the url address is changing. Which sounds like all of them in this case.
There are several ways to get that list. One of the easier probably being to run Xenu Link Sleuth against the site, then taking that list of pages and figuring out which new page you want each to point to.
As far as finding a tool that will show you all of the pages of your site that someone links to, I've never seen such a tool. And for one to exist either the search engines would have to be a lot more open than they currently are, or the tool itself would have to go out and spider the entire web to compile such a list.
