Last week we upgraded our server control panel (Plesk) and since then have been having database crashed. Today was the worst with the forum having some database tables that crashed. We got everything else back and running, but not the forum. The IBP folks got in and fixed what was wrong, however.

I'm hoping we can be back up and running normally, but I'm still worried about something not being compatible with something else since the crashes seem to have been caused by the plesk upgrade. (Should never had done it!)

I genuinely do admire your honest reporting Jill, many would not have admitted to the world that such problems had been self inflicted.

Well, I didn't actually break anything myself. I just gave the server people the go ahead to update plesk. But of course that puts the blame squarely on my shoulders!

Gee, that's what my life used to look like when I was a software engineering "program manager". All the responsibility and no direct control over the resources.

Sorry to hear about your server problems, I know this sort of thing can be highly stressful and frustrating and I sympathise.
