It won't matter anyway, the Cardinals are going to whip up on whoever they face in the World Series this year if nobody gets hurt. Go Cards!

OK - this may be a daft question, but I notice that nearly all of the results using the url above are .com domains. Is this because it is a google.com sandbox or an indication of the problems possibly ahead for non .com domains?
Posted 18 August 2009 - 12:17 PM
I do not think non .com's wil encounter any special problems above and beyond what they may (arguably) already suffer from.

Ok - thanks - the sandbox url does not look good for .co.uk domains in that case!
Posted 18 August 2009 - 02:12 PM
well, .co.uk is more than just a non .com it is regional extension which I put in a completely separate category. Regional domain extensions should rank differently when the google database is accessed in the region specified in the extension.

Ah I see - thank you - so to see the same effect as the sandbox url gives us, Google would need to have a google.co.uk sandbox url - is there such a thing?

not sure. When you review your site in the Google Webmasters members area it allows you to isolate where you rank for keywords in the different country specific search engines , which is proof positive that they do indeed have separate listings country/regionally.

If you add '&gl=uk' on the end of your query you'll be able to see results directed towards the UK.
