Hello,

One of my site was deliberately removed from google index by the designer by using disallow tag in robots.txt

I deleted the code from robots.txt and allowed the site to be indexed. However even after 4 days the site is not indexed by google. crossfingers.gif

What could be the problem?. The site URL is <removed per Forum Rules>

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Nothing.

Try and get some fresh links pointing to the website, take out the robots exclusion and give it 10 days. I'd be surprised if you weren't included (I am assuming that the site had a minimum presence before being dropped).

That it's only been 4 days.

If the designer really spiked the site for you, be sure you check the meta tags to see if s/he included robots noindex/nofollow/noarchive directives on the page level.

You also want to see if internal links have been spiked with "rel='nofollow'".

And if you shared your login information with that designer, make sure you change the password.

You might also check for hidden links to porn sites, that'll get you dropped quickly in Google too!
