Hi There,

(I recently read advise of Jill in one newsletter. I hope she will be useful to me also.)

I m responsible for taking care of few web sites. We haven't seen this problem earlier with any other web site.

My web site name is www.thehostingguide.com (as well as we have registered www.thehostinguide.com). This site is up since last few months and we have try to link it up with other sites.

We haven't done any spamming. Yea, we are doing reasonable optimization and that we have doen to few other sites.

It's cached and some pages are cached in the google but still we are not getting page rank for the same. The google toolbar also says the backward linking is
zero and it has not linked with other sites.

I have posted this question to other sites and i haven't got any satisfactory solution. But i m sure I will get some feedback from this forum.

For one, Google only shows backlinks of sites that are over a PR of 2 or 3 or something like that. So if the links are not from strong PR sites, that might be why they aren't showing up. They are still "there" though and will have some effect. As for why you have no PR, that's harder to say. Maybe some others will have some good insight.

Welcome aarzoo2 !

Do you have any server problems going on currently?

I just tried to visit both URL's you mentioned in your post and get a "Cannot find server" error.

From what you've said it sounds like nothing more complex than it's fresh content, and waiting for values to be assigned at an update.

I've put up new siets and pages since Jan 20th, none of which have PR values, and the backlinks showing is pretty poor and out of date.

If yours is in this boat then you'll simply need to be patience and wait for an update in March. Hopefully it'll be a full one, unlike the supposed "Brandy" update this month, which was a little pseudo to say the least.
