I walked into the garage the other day and my husband had the TV on some show. As soon as I opened the door I heard <from the TV> "Is that warranty in earth years or Martian years?" ;)

That got my attention!

Come to find out, he was watching public television. It was a show about a Mars probe. NASA had some problems with it and wanted to file a warranty claim on some part or the other. The argument that set in dealt with whether the warranty should be counted in earth years or Martian years (since the probe was designed to work on Mars.) :embarrassed:

CRAP! Now yet ANOTHER element of marketing to deal with. Should I offer my warranty/guarantee in earth years or Martian years? It just never stops, does it?

Apparently, that would be earth. I think the whole "deal" here was that it should be in Mars years because it was used on Mars (and their days are longer).
