I have been sending out press releases via PR Web etc, but I have been quite disappointed by the lack of response. This is for a website that I believe to be very "link-worthy" so I'm assuming the problem is that the press release didn't grab people's attention. I know there are a million, "new site launched" press releases going out every day so it is perhaps not suprising it didn't get picked up. So I am thinking of hiring a freelance PR person who has contacts and experience in the relevant industy. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience doing this, and what the result has been?
