Seems like there are several forums I could post this question. I picked this one I hope its the right place to ask.
Lets says I had a website about the internet. On the index page I went on about what I knew about the internet. On a different page I talked about internet browsers. On a 3rd page I might talk about cable modems...etc. My question is if someone searched cable modems would the serp show the url to my 3rd page or would it show my index page where I talked about the internet?

Ideally, it would show the page that was optimized for that particular phrase.
