Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. I look forward to learning and hopefully contributing one day but I don't know much about SEO so it may take a while for the contribution. I have a question about my current site. It's been online for about two months and has been getting traffic but because of business/legal reasons I need to change the domain name. I can retain the old URL but I can't use it. Will this affect my page rank? Should I keep both sites for a few days? Should I redirect the old site for a few days?

Thank you!

You should 301 redirect the old site to the new. Please see the numerous other threads we have on  changing domain names[/hr]. I'm going to close this one as we have many.
