Include Php In Html

I am unable to include php in my html pages using .htacess.
I tried following in my .htaccess file. Still not working

addhandler application/x-httpd.php .html .php .htm
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html .htm

And more..

My server configuration:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: Apache
X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.0-8+etch13
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html

Please advise………very urgent….

I have this in my .htaccess and it works no problems at all:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .htm .html

Talk to your hosts. They're the only ones that know how your server is configured.

Who knows, they may have .htaccess disabled altogether.
