What are some strategies for attracting advertising, and when does your site have enough traffic to make it worthwhile? My site is still pretty small, but I would like to start thinking about this so that I have some idea of what to do when I am ready to attract advertising.

You have two roads, which could be combined, google adwords, allowing people to use adwords or a similar ad program to target ads on your site, or you could use a text and or banner ad managment script to run your own ads and people pay you direct. Good luck, its not easy and you may be better looking at targeted affiliate offers instead.

You haven't told us what type of site. Is advertising that important?? There's a ton of other ways to monetize the site. Can you expand a little on what you're trying to do?
