Hey all I'm new to this site (also a newbie too as you can guess.)

I've bought an inktomi paid for inclusion package and have been approved into their database. But what seems to be the problem is that the only page listed is my main url that I entered in.

My other pages don't seem to be listed at all, and on some the main page is the one being shown up. this is bad since I want people coming to my site to see the offers on those pages and not my main url (also since I'm targeting those keywords.)Many of my other pages targeting different keywords don't seem to even indexed.

Is this what's suppose to be happening or do I need to manually submit my other pages as well?

Any help would be appreciated. ;) (can't help using a smiley here)

Nvm. Just found out after re-reading :learn: some threads that ink doesn't include pages beyond the url that's paid for.

I'll change just the question if I may. What's the best way to submit to Ink and how long should I wait or expect for the pages to get indexed?

The paid submission takes usually 48 hours to have a URL enter the index.

The paid index and the unpaid index are different.

Having a URL in the paid index does not influence the appearance of other URLs into the unpaid index.

However, it is quite likely that the appearance of the paid-submitted link in Inktomi could influence its ranking with Google, which in turn could influence Inktomi to spider the other links from the site. Still, those links will be in a separate index.

Check your web log and see if the Inktomi spider has been there lately. It is pretty hardworking and most likely has visited you again.

And keep in mind that it's now called "Yahoo Slurp".

Thanks for the info. But I do have one thing in mind. If I were to target the unpaid Ink spider, is there a better way to submit to them from perhaps one of their partners to get a faster (or better chance) of listing in Inktomi (ahem Yahoo slurp? Don't remember where I read this. If it's true, anybody know which partner I should submit to?

Welcome, Newbie Guy! :aloha:

Submitting to anywhere other than the paid-inclusion will have no effect.
