hi

having just launched my seo'd site (thanks in large part to the excellent tips given to me on this site i'm now gonna chip away at the links issue.

I've read a few pages on these forums re link building and would I be right is thinking that roughly the following would be a good plan?

1. Instead of buying links - pay my my younger nephew pennies to contact prospective sites for link exchange via say the dmoz directory
2. Igore sites with low page rank or with too many links on already
3. Ensure that the sites are either in related field to my service - ie if i sell cheese - then a delicassen
4. Give them the link to our index url in everycase with a two lines of text explaining what our site does
5. Spread the links given to me on separate pages and ask them to do the same

is that about it??

If anything i'd ignore DMOZ not low PR sites, DMOZ is dying, where as a site with PR2 today could be PR7 tomorrow!

But you should be ignoring that useless green on the the G! toolbar anyway, infact i'd uninstall the damn thing!, but that's just me

I don't think you learned most of those link building things here.

What's your site about? Can you say? Perhaps you can get some real tips.

Is it something worth linking to? That's the first step.

You mentioned it was "SEO'd" but is it unique in some way?
