Hi all - love the forum. Quick question. There's some debate internally regarding posting photos and images online. Currently, we have a directory on our site where we keep product images and photos.
However, I'm wondering if there's added SEO benefit from creating a Flickr or Picassa account to manage our company photos and product images.
Any thoughts on which direction to go? A managed account through Picassa or Flickr might be the way to go, but does it make more sense to just send folks directly to our site?
Thanks,
Rick

You ought to be able to add captions and such to your images locally to help with SEO if that is the objective. Although the value may be disputed, you do get a link from an external website if you go that route.
Do a few but don't develop reliance on external forces. If for any reason flickr or picassa fall from grace with the sea, then you'll be tasked with a wee bit of scurrying around to figure out why your images have vaporized.
