It depends upon if normal links are also being added to those new pages or not Karri.

In my experience placing normal links to point to such pages is still the best way to get them indexed. Setting up an rss feed (similar to how new organizations typically do it) can also be helpful to trigger more frequent spidering of these new pages. And XML Sitemap isn't going to hurt, but it's not necessarily a panacea either.

Sure they'll use it as a signal since it's being submitted to them. But they'd also use an RSS Feed to do the same thing. And use links they find as well.

So if links to the new pages are placed at the time they're made Live and if an RSS Feed gets updated when a new page is placed, the XML Sitemap and its submission is far from being a strict requirement.
