I am curious about something. I know directory submissions are good for speeding up indexing. I am having a little trouble writing the description for my submissions. Is there any benefits to using keywords in the descriptions for the directories? Meaning when the spiders crawl, would they match up the keywords with the link to the site?

It's a random thought I had. Any feedback would be appreciated.

It helps in that it describes what your site offers to the real people who might read the listing, so of course it can be helpful for the search engines as well.

Not if directory see description as keyword stuffing.
It maybe good for SE but the final consumer is directory visitor and if he/she have to read something that only SE can understand, then I don't think quality directory will allow that kind of description.

The same BTW applies to Title

Well fastreplies, as I said above it needs to be written for real people. If the directory owners see a well written, people focused description as keyword stuffing, that's the Directory Owner's fault. Not anybody elses.
