Hi,
Say I have a site selling many varieties of widgets, is it OK to mention the term in each link? So for example I could have a menu with
Green Widgets
Blue Widgets
Pink Widgets
....
The reason I'm asking is I recently changed a menu to remove the keyword from these type of links because I thought it may appear a bit spammy (there were around 20 of them), but now it looks weird without them there - like the word doesn't make sense on it's own without the product. This is a new site so I can't really gauge the effect on my SERPS of taking them out.
I remember reading somewhere that if you have links like this going to real pages then it won't be seen as spam, but I can't remember where I read this.
I'd also like to know what people think about this in terms of usablity.
Cheers,
Jake
