Hey guys, question
Does google pagerank affect other seach engines rankings as well, such as msn, yahoo ect.... in some way at all?

No it doesn't.

However most major search engines do incorporate link analysis into their algos.

How much impact does links have on other seach engines
such as msn
Is the impact as strong as with google?

Link analysis is very important with all search engines, in different ways.

Teoma, for example, looks at relationships between links and creates communities. Ink tends to be less discriminating about links in general, counting many that the others don't.

All the search engines consider the quantity and quality of links pointing to your site when determining the relevancy of your site for any given search query.

number of lnks of ur site from other sites counts very much for the Ranking in Google.
Apart from it, number of popular sites , using in our sites also gives some weightage for ranking.

Most of the SE's use some form of authority based on links for part of there decision making, But Google relies on it the most, (and until now has been abused the most) One good thing for Google though is that with yahoo becoming a 50% er again they can look forward to receiving the attentions of the spammers, while google might well be less prone to attack.
