I'm looking at the articles page of a site and there are two links to each individual article: the title of the article is a link and after a brief description another link that says "Read More". Would it be wise to change the anchor text of the "Read More" link? The title of the article is already linked, so does it really matter?

There are 10+ articles on this page, so it seems kind of repetitive to change "Read More" to "Read More about [Article Title]". Any thoughts?

Should the links stay the way they are??

Thanks in advanced.

Why do you need more than Read More?

That's a pretty common one being used out there, and it's quite user friendly.

I don't want to rekindle the "second link passing anchor text" debate but I would say that there is little to no SEO value in attempting to double up on your link anchor text on a page. As Randy said, the "read more" is pretty standard and, in my opinion, it is more user-friendly than repeating the title of the article. I use variations of "read more" on many sites for my visitors' sakes.

Yea don't spend time changing the Read More. Making yourself duplicate internal links don't do anything for you in terms of SEO.

This is a great question. I've had the same problem. I think if you've already got the anchor text in there once or twice, more than that is unnecessary. "Read More" comes off better user experience-wise, so I'd suggest sticking to that.
