Hi, when viewing our web logs we have a page for:-

'Redirected Referrer Report

The Redirected Referrer Report identifies where redirected page requests originated. This can be useful in determining what links are causing the system to redirect a request.'

Can someone explain what this means at what is happening with the URL that are listed.

Thanks

Charlie

That should include both pages for which you've set up a redirect (like you renamed so you set up a 301 -- permanently moved), or URLs that bring up errors, like a 404 (file not found), or a 400 (syntax error in request), 403 (forbidden), etc. There's a list of error codes at http://www.pccontrol...m/help/http.htm

The information in this report can be useful if someone is linking to you (or you have an internal link) and users who follow the link are getting the error. Either something's wrong with the page the link is pointing to, the href in the link is wrong, or you've got people linking to a restricted area of your site and that link is being used by people who aren't authorized to get in.
