Hi,
I have built several sites over the past two years that are pretty much related to the same niche. The pagerank for each one are low, with a pagerank 2 being the highest on one of them, but I'm still able to rank okay on the Search engines.

My question is how should I go about linking them to get the most benefit?

Do I
  • Have all the websites link to each other just on the homepage.
  • Have all the websites link together on every page.
  • Build a hub, with all the websites pointing to just one site which links back out to them. (hub and spoke model)

Any advice is most welcome.

Simple. Link to them where it makes sense to the users who will be reading the pages and may be interested in the info provided on the additional sites.

possibly do three way links to the sites so that no two sites are reciprocal linking?

I agree with Jill. If you design your linking for your users you should have no problems with the search engines. They're trying to just be users, too.
