No. From my windows hosts file NASA. Still at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts even though now I'm on a 64 bit machine for some odd reason.

I've got all sorts of things blocked there by forcing certain things to look at 127.0.0.1 instead of looking up the real dns.

For instance, I don't show up in anybody's Google Analytics unless I've gone in and disabled my google-analytics.com block. Of course this means I have to keep my JS error reporting at a lower level than you do, otherwise I'd be dealing with errors on just about every page I visited!

that is your LMHOSTS file isn't it?

Local Machine HOSTS.. or acheives the same thing, though I didn't know there were two host files you could play with?

Directories are still the second best thing to searching and have an important effect on increasing your search engine results pages ranking. The more directories your site is listed in, the more inbound links your site will have.

It dependes on the directory rainbow, if you submit to directories just to link build for IBLs, you are probably wasting your time, it's about increasing targeted visitor streams not increasing your ranking.
