I still can't figure out when/if and where the googlebot goes when/if it comes to my site. (although I noticed that the cached version of my main page is the one that I literally just put up Sunday).

BUT Yahoo seems to have found me. Petty darned extensively too!

*smiles* Just sharing to those who would understand. I could mention this to my friends, but they'd probably stare at me blankly and wonder if I've lost my mind to spend this much time on a web site. LOL

LOL - I get that look from friends, too

All my cool news flashes are met with blank looks or yawns - it's nice to share with someone who understands ;)

Congrats! <wanders off to check his logs...>

There is one that came with my space, but I never liked it and couldn't tell you what my host uses because I ignore that one. I use AXS by Fluid Dynamics.

Well, thought I could help you but I can't; I'm not familiar with that package. Most webstats programs are able to show bots somehow- check under "browsers" or "user agents" and see if you see a reference to the Googlebot.

Oh well. Good things come. Good things go.

I just read this in the thread about Yahoo Search "Search Submit customers will have the option of joining the new program for ongoing participation in Yahoo! Search results."

Guys, I gotta vent to those that understand. My site is a totally non-money making proposition for me. It's my baby and what I do as a hobby. I can't pay to have it included in search engines and directories. *censored expletive deleted*, it's just ME running things!!!!!

I could just cry. No matter how good I make it, the trend is toward paid inclusion and that excludes my site.

(Btw, Scottie, thanks for trying. I'll figure out the googlebot someday lol)

That applies to the directory search I understand. If yahoo-slurp has been then it will include you.

I hate to admit this, but I don't have a clue what yahoo-slurp is. lol

When I go to the yahoo home page and I enter my site in the "Yahoo! Search" box, they have several hundred of my pages indexed. And all the threads and articles are talking about "Yahoo! Search", which makes me less than optimistic.

GOOD for you on getting the new site indexed! I never thought of asking Google to use a straw, but it may be an option. LOL
