What are the major difference and/or advantages to one over the other? I've been through their demos online they look pretty similar. If I have access to the log files, is the installed version a better way to go being that its $495 and you own it, vs. $49/month indefinitely?

Thanks,

Matthew

I own the installed version and love it. I admit I am their affiliate so I earn from sales of the installed version (from a link on my web site). But at any rate, do the math -- in 10 months you will pay for the installed version.

There are always pros and cons to installed versions vs hosted versions.

Pros of Installed Versions
- No recurring fees
- More control
- More privacy
- Usually more features, but not always true

Pros of Hosted Versions
- Always available
- No hassles
- Don't need to worry about backing up data
- Free upgrades (usually)

There are also a lot of alternative programs, some at much more reasonable prices for the function.

I have used Bitstrike's Advanced Log Analyzer for several months, and find it both powerful (for analysis) and usable - for the 90% 'how am I doing?' daily use.

The pricing, at $150, is a lot more attractive than Click-Tracks, and it presents the same information (wtihout the on-screen overlay) on paths taken...

I have no affiliation, aside from being a satisfied user, etc...
