I read an article yesterday suggesting using the angle of marketing a tagline/motto. For example, a ski resort markets the motto from their print/web marketing campaign which could be "It's all down hill from here". Instead of putting their web address on their print material, billboards, etc., they heavily push the motto with the hope that it will be remembered when some googles ski resort and the thought is that they will search the motto instead of the keyword 'ski resorts in Colorado'.
Have any of you found success in this strategy? I thought it was an interesting approach as well as extremely risky. What are your thoughts?

It's basically part of the brand building process Lee. And yes I do it on multiple sites. Most times with the motto or tagline being something that relates directly back to my USP.
Just to note, there's nothing that says you can't utilize both. I know I do. My ads, print or online, are likely to include both my motto and site address.
